Linkedin Profile Changes – Don’t Panic Change Is Good

January 7, 2013 |  by  |  Linkedin Blog

At the beginning of each year, when we reflect back, it’s always the same.

  • Some people will have made changes to their business model & done the work to make things happen, and achieved the results they wanted
  • Some people will have watched things happen
  • Some people will wonder, “What happened, where did the year go?”

Be honest, which of these three camps have you pitched your tent in?

Where are youChange is difficult for most business owners, but it’s worth remembering; “You tend to only regret what you don’t do, not what you do.”

So as you reflect back over your previous business year, and if you still desire profitable growth, then consider implementing some form of change/s to your business model.

In just about every business consultancy project I’ve conducted in 44 countries, one thing was consistent. We almost always introduced some form of change/s to propel the stalled business through the financial tipping point.

As Linkedin cruises towards 200 million members they introduced, and began to roll out significant changes to business members’ profiles in mid December 2012.

Don’t Panic! Although like many of my business clients, you have also probably lost some of your profile business marketing information.

In this case Change Is Good!

Why?

Because Linkedin have introduced changes which are far more beneficial to you from a business marketing perspective.

It’s never been a better time to advertise and/or promote you and your business on Linkedin by tapping into these profile changes. Have a look at: www.elinked.eu if you want lots of free independent Linkedin tips, advice & business growth support about maximising your business growth by embracing these changes.

In the meantime ask yourself these three business-probing questions.

1. Has my www.linkedin.com profile page changed?
2. Have I kept up to speed on how to leverage these changes to assist my business growth for 2013?
3. Am I going to dip my toe in the water and introduce change into my business model?

No one knows your business better than you the business owner. Nevertheless, I bet you as you reflect over your past years trading, there was one significant thing you wanted to implement into your business that initially excited or scared you.

I’d also like to bet this one thing was connected to some form of business change.

However external forces dictated you never implemented it. Maybe it was a lack of time, finance or marketing expertise, or a negative reaction from someone close to you, or any one of a hundred other reasons.

It’s a new year and once again you are faced with the opportunity for change.

Are you going to take control of your business or are you going to allow external influences to dictate you continue trading in a reactive, rather than a proactive mode?

Hope this invokes a business growth thought process in you.
