I asked this senior bank relationship manager the following. “Have you ever tried?”

His honest response was, “no.”

We then discussed his actual knowledge of the LinkedIn platform. Again he was honest and stated he had no real understanding of LinkedIn. He had never really read a Linkedin blog, never analyzed any published Linkedin case studies, nor had he participated in any Linkedin training.

I also asked him if he had ever consciously first level connected with a LinkedIn Expert, or if he had ever thought to hire a Linkedin expert to help raise his awareness levels about precisely what can be achieved from leveraging LinkedIn for revenue generation.

Once again his response was, “no.” However I could tell by his face that the penny was beginning to drop for this bank manager and many of his other associates.
