This is to make sure you’re not left behind or forgotten about – to maintain your online network, you need to be an active user who responds to queries and gives out advice whenever you can. Updates can range from a reminder that you have vacancies to popular topics in the news, so post articles and discuss them with people. Profile rankings will definitely go up with continued updates, and you’re likely to end up with more profile views as a result.

You’ll find that one of the most useful aspects of LinkedIn when it comes to recruiting is the forum dedicated to jobseekers and recruiters. Here, you can post your vacancy advertisement and have people send you their CV directly. This also gives you the opportunity to look up their LinkedIn profiles and get a good idea of what they’re like. You can even connect to them and converse with them without issue.
