Utilise the maximum amount of space, talk about your life’s achievements and get people to endorse you.

Tip 1.

Take the space you need to communicate your accomplishments by creating as many entries you require for every role you have performed within each job title. This shows off your full potential to clients and employers alike.  It’s okay to have overlapping dates if you really have a lot to say. Remember, it’s your profile, you need to show the world what you’ve accomplished and what you are potentially capable of.

Tip2.

You can ask your contacts to endorse you for only your top skills. Having the highest number of endorsements for your signature strengths will influence those who are looking at your profile. Have the courage to delete or reject the endorsements that aren’t central to how you want to be known.

Tip 3.

You should know the character limit for each section and must use every character. If you make sure all relevant sections are filled out as fully as possible, it will enable you to show off all your relevant skills and quality’s. If you write your sections fully enough relevant keywords will be in the sections naturally, so no keyword stuffing.

Tough Talk

There are probably hundreds of tips that I could post on a daily basis, I feel these three are some of the most important that most people continually oversee when creating their LinkedIn profile.

Tool Tip

Utilise the sections that LinkedIn provides to sell yourself to potential to clients and employers, I see it every day whilst browsing through LinkedIn where there are thousands of profiles that just don’t cut it, more importantly it doesn’t really give me a good impression or go into detail of who they are and what they’ve done.
